Privacy Policy

No Edits is made by Bad Oak LLC ("Bad Oak," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what the No Edits app does with information, which is very little: the app has no account and no server, and your clips stay on your phone.

Short version. We do not collect personal information. Your clips, settings and recording history are stored only on your device. They leave your phone only when you save a video to Photos or share it through another app. If you buy No Edits Pro, Apple and RevenueCat process the purchase; we never see your name, email or payment details.

1. Information we collect

None. No Edits does not ask you to create an account, does not use analytics or advertising software, and does not send your data to us. There is no Bad Oak server behind the app.

2. Information stored on your device

Clips and videos you record, and the stitched videos the app builds from them.
Settings such as your recording window, clip length, aspect ratio and caption style.
Recording history used for streaks and statistics: when clips were recorded, missed or skipped.
Pro status, including the free pass and any purchase.

All of this lives in the app's private storage on your phone and is deleted when you delete the app. It is included in your iCloud or iTunes device backup if you have backups on, under Apple's terms.

3. Permissions the app asks for

Camera and microphone: to record your clips. Nothing is recorded outside the recording screen.
Notifications: local reminders scheduled on your phone for your recording times. No push server is involved.
Speech recognition (Pro, optional): to generate captions from a video when you ask for them. This uses Apple's speech recognition, on your device when the device supports it. Apple's privacy policy applies to that processing.
Photos: only to save a video or clip when you tap Save. The app does not read your photo library.

4. Service providers we use

Apple (App Store, in-app purchases, notifications, speech recognition).
RevenueCat (purchase validation for No Edits Pro). RevenueCat receives an anonymous app identifier and your purchase receipt from Apple. It does not receive your name or email from us.

We will update this list the day a new provider is added.

5. Sharing

When you share a video, it goes to the app you choose through the iOS share sheet. That app's privacy policy applies from then on. We do not see what you share or where.

6. Security

Your data is protected by your device's own security: the passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and Apple's file protection. Because there is no server, there is no online copy for anyone to breach.

7. Your choices

Delete any clip, video or your whole set inside the app.
Delete the app to remove everything it stored.
Turn permissions off at any time in iOS Settings. Recording needs the camera and microphone; everything else is optional.
Manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID settings.

8. Children's privacy

No Edits does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13. Since the app collects nothing, there is nothing to request or delete from us.

9. International users

Bad Oak LLC is based in California, United States. Because the app does not transmit your data to us, no international transfer of your personal data takes place through the app.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version is posted at this address with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
