Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Bad Oak LLC ("Bad Oak," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the No Edits mobile application (the "App"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who may use the App

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

2. No account

The App does not require an account. Everything you record and every setting you choose is stored on your device. You are responsible for your device and for anything recorded with it.

3. License to use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer or extract the source code of the App except where the law allows it.

4. What the App is

No Edits is a recording habit tool. It opens the camera at times you choose, records short clips, and joins them into one video. It records only when you have set it to. It is not a backup service: clips exist only on your device until you save or share them, and deleting the App deletes them. It is not a substitute for professional advice of any kind.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

The App is free to download and use. Optional No Edits Pro features are available in three ways:

Monthly subscription (auto-renewing).
Yearly subscription (auto-renewing), which starts with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
Lifetime, a one-time purchase.

Prices are shown in the App before you buy and may vary by country. Purchases are made through Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. We may change prices for future periods; existing periods are not affected.

The App may also grant Pro features through a free pass that continues while you keep your recording schedule. The pass is a courtesy, can change or end in a future version, and is not a purchase.

6. Your content

You own the clips and videos you record. We do not receive them, claim no rights to them, and are not responsible for them. You are responsible for what you record and share, including obtaining consent from anyone who appears in your clips where the law requires it.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to record anyone without permission where permission is required, to break any law, or to interfere with the App or its distribution. We may end your license if you do.

8. Intellectual property

The App, its name, logo, design and code are owned by Bad Oak LLC and protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the license above, no rights are granted to you.

9. Third-party services

The App relies on Apple (App Store, in-app purchases, notifications, speech recognition) and RevenueCat (purchase validation). Their terms apply to their services. When you share a video to another app, that app's terms apply.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every scheduled recording will occur; phones sleep, permissions change, and notifications can be delayed by the operating system.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bad Oak LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost clips, lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ten US dollars if you paid nothing.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Bad Oak LLC against claims arising from your content or your breach of these Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it. We may terminate or suspend your license if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do so.

14. Changes to the App and these Terms

We may change the App and these Terms. The current Terms are posted at this address with the "Last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

16. Apple App Store terms

These Terms are between you and Bad Oak LLC only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. To the extent these Terms are silent, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
